I’ve stumbled across a mix of goodies and gems this week. From fuzzy robot pets to creative AI tools (and some near local art), there’s a lot to dig into.

Casio - Moflin

This is a wild one. Casio has created an AI companion and robot pet that learns and adapts to offer solace and connection. The concept of a responsive AI pet is fascinating and curious to see where this type of "pet" goes in the future.

XR Glasses

I think I'm going down another rabbit hole, this time with XR glasses. The VITURE Beast XR Glasses caught my eye recently from another share on Threads. The specs seem pretty incredible with that 1200p display and 120Hz refresh rate.

On a similar note, I've been looking at the XREAL 1S which I believe just launched. I tried out a different pair of XREALS connected to a Steamdeck and it was really slick. A few years ago I purchased a similar pair to use with my Mac but it didn't work as expected. Maybe these new ones + software improvements would do the trick.

Nano Banana - Pro Prompts

If you're interested in image generation, I came across this list of curated Nano Banana Pro prompts and examples. Not speaking on the merits of, but amazing the variety of images you can create. Tried out the "Compact Camera Screen Display" just because.

Tom Bihn - Small Snake Charmer

I'm always on the hunt to add to my EDC collection. This two sided tech organizer pouch made by Tom Bihn looks solid. Perfect for keeping cables and small gear organized to a T.

Dawn Radford - Tattoo Artist

I came across her portfolio recently and her work is awesome. She’s apparently based in my former hometown of Brookfield. Her art style is incredible and super unique. If only I were looking for another tattoo, but maybe you are!

Music of the Moment

The new Apple Watch commercials are hilarious and so well done, so of course I had to track down the song. It’s not my usual jam, but it’s a pretty fun one and super speedy.
